Parents

At Woodnewton we believe you know your child best and we actively encourage a close partnership between home and the Academy. Evidence suggests if a parent/carer engages in their child's learning it leads to better outcomes for him/her.  

Some of the ways in which you can become actively involved in your child's learning are by: reading regularly with your child at home, supporting your child with their home learning, attending all parent workshops and consultation evenings, accompanying children on Academy visits, volunteering your time in the Academy and sharing information with the Academy about your child's well-being. 

Any parent/carer wanting a paper copy of any information on the website should ask at the Academy Office where a member of staff will happily provide this.
